Multimedia means: many different types of communication. The types are: TV, Phone, Fax, Radio, Letter, E-Mail, Internet, BTX, TTY, Picture-phone (ISDN) and many more.

Multimedia is a hot word today. So we talk about a "multimedia- century" which follows the "computer-century" with no breaks.

Up to now many communication types like TV and so on are still used Even Telegraphing, a technology of the 18^th Century is still beeing used in some countries.

But multi media now means the comperization of most of the available media. The vsion is, that in future all kind of communication will be done out of one box (computer).

One of the highest aims of this process is to make these different kinds of communiction more comfortable, more easy and much more interchangable than today.

That means that multimedia is a wide area to show ones potential!
